Goddess

Goddess
By Michelle Morris

As my colours fade with age
I will never get old
I embrace purple hats
And all the colours of the rainbow

I walk with my head held high
And celebrate my wisdom
For I am a goddess
And the master of my decisions

I have flown high and free
And been caged and down
I've known heartache and disaster
Trauma and betrayal

I've experienced good and bad
And everything in between
And through it all
I know that God has seen

He and His Angels
Have been with me all the way
Through my life's journey
And every single prayer

I've loved and lost
I've cried with sadness and joy
I've known all kinds of people
And I know my own soul

I've learned the lessons
Sometimes multiple times
I've stumbled over rocks
And I've walked the longest miles

I've learned to understand
So much about knowledge and lessons
I've added so much experience
To my soul's blessed journey

And when I get to Heaven
I'll know I've done my best
To be a Lightworker
On this special Earth

Despite my reservations
Of living in this world
Overall it has been remarkable
A challenge and a whirl

My soul that's old and wise
Tries to make a difference every day
To be the change I want to see
On this planet in the Milky Way

I appreciate God's Angels
For always protecting me
For their guidance and their blessings
That help set my soul free
