God You Smile Down On Me With Such Golden Eyes,
God you smile down on me with such golden eyes,
you shine my heart with rays of golden sunlight;
you make me ever so thankful, another day with
beauty in my sight
and air in my lungs,
and passion and love in my heart,
oh God you smile down on me with such golden eyes
watching over me and family and my love,
you smile and the grace of such loveliness I feel deep in my heart.
Take it to the grave,
where flowers mark where I have to lay
near the winter lands in white clouds of snow,
in the lowlands,
I shall walk in the valley,
where dark shadows run and hide from sunlight;
oh God thank you, thank you ever so much,
for making me smile and watching over me with such golden eyes.
