God the Voice

In our easier moments
God talks to us a whisper
as so often we don't hear
because a dose of ear twister

We all have a conscience
showing us wrong and right
this God uses for to speak
for otherwise we aren't too bright

But to get us fully awake
the Lord gives us a great shout
pushing the pain level higher
for our attention without a doubt

So the decibels of God's megaphone
will blast our ears apart
for this world is so utterly deaf
it requires a bull's eye from God's dart

I like this. It is my type of poem. I can relate to it easily and the length is short enough to be meditated over and the meaning is clear. Well done Gordon. Regards, Colin.
