God Said

God said
Let there be light and there was light
and therefore He also bought forth the darkness
to show us its opposite
darkness fell over the earth at the close of each day
the world slept and He called it restoration
He must have liked opposites because
love was given hate
peace was given war
freedom was given slavery
strength was given weakness
God had created man
He saw how they exploited His creation
how they pillaged the earth
and destroyed His precious gifts
Now we have seen His opposites
in action
He has come again to judge us
Amen.
