God Rant

Why, God? Why? Are you lonely? Do you not have enough company? You mean to tell me that it is so empty up in Heaven that you just had to take my daughter’s mom? At 38 years old you just had to have her, didn’t you? I can picture it; all that room and you’re just thinking, “Hmm, you know, I think I need to make someone suffer for a couple of months in front of her 8 year old and 13 year old daughters, then take her and have her up here to keep me company.” Yup, I figure that’s pretty much what You were thinking. Why else would you take her? You needed a nurse that badly? She was a good nurse in her day, you know. And you forced my little, now 9 year old daughter to be a nurse, taking care of her mom during the months you saw fit to make her suffer. Yeah, that was real necessary, huh? I suppose that’s part of her training or her maturation process. How much do you require of your subjects? What price worship? Do you need blood to love? She’s only nine years old! Why did you take her mother? Why God, why? March 29, 2008 We have rebounded well from this loss. My daughter is happy and strong. I have since forgiven God and he has forgiven me.

Such anger and frustration. Raw, and to the point. I am very sorry for your loss, Anthony. I am glad to hear that you and your daughter are doing well, and you have found forgiveness for God, in your heart. Sometimes he tests us in ways we cannot understand. Much love, Rachel
