God Loves Us All the More When

God Loves us all the more,
When we put the pain of others before our own,
When we help others out of the forest,
  into sunlit clearings.
When we notice less of what others say,
and more of what they do.
When our help has no strings attached.
When we celebrate Christmas more than once a year.

Amen! Well said. Christmas has become more commercialized unfortunately in a superficial way. Your poem hits to the heart of the problem. Well done.

Thanks Karen. I buy up photo frames from Salvation Army and Hospice shop along with brand new stuff never been opened during year and give photos at Xmas. Christmas is big at our place and we all have signature dishes at Christmas. Mine is Pavlova, my son and I do the ham under instructions from our Eldest daughter who gives us basting sauce. I make the fudge with her. My wife dose Potato salad. Our other daughter does mean cheesecake. Hope you have a Wonderful Christmas day. Best regards David in NZ
