God left heartbroken and unyielding like a king in exile's cold embrace

God left heartbroken and unyielding like a king in exile's cold embrace,
On a star of sunrise luminous toward an infinite outpouring wide,
Of sea that drips like honey from the comb on the world's edge and space,
And in his long and lingering wake, it's told and sets in legends worldwide,
That we remained with fragile chance, with little of the living hope that trembles,
Of mystical thereafter, and the unique drop from that celestial rain so rare,
That washed us both like two forgiven sins in holy water that assembles,
Counted only how many we are, alone in the universe empty and bare.

Tip of your sharpened chin, the love of his divine majesty forgotten and lost,
Nauseous bales chosen like old wine from royal cellars left behind in time,
King over sun in warm enchanted dishes, tasty to the tongue at any cost,
To bewitched women with bodies of mystery, dawn-tinged vices deeply buried in grime,
Knights of the dawning of the blue sea that stretches to the horizon without end,
Only our polluted seas in closed castes like white towers standing tall,
Your girl-like love exploded like fireworks in the black night that descends,
Forever starlit love on our private and eternal cosmic sky over all.

He left behind only the echo of his voice in the abandoned temple's hall,
God tired of our repeated prayers like a scratched old record playing still,
He went to seek another sky where faith isn't tainted by doubt's dark crawl,
And we remained like orphaned children in the large and cold house on the hill,
With only the memory of his warmth like a thin blanket in the long winter's freeze,
That unique drop of grace that touched our forehead on forgotten baptism day,
Is all we have as proof that we weren't always alone in the cosmic seas,
That once someone saw us and deemed us worthy of a divine tear's display.

And yet we continue to love under the sky empty of gods and angels who flew,
Your exploded girl-like love is the only magic left in the disenchanted world we know,
Our knights are weary but still raise the sword for honor lost and through,
Our blue sea is polluted but still sings the ancient song of the waves' flow,
And I love you with all that remains of my faith shattered into shards and pieces,
With that small hope that hides in the corner of the heart like a trembling candle's light,
Because if God left heartbroken, perhaps our love will make his sadness ceases,
Perhaps our drop of happiness will become the rain that makes him regret taking flight.
