Notes About The Poem

A man told me once the difference between the words "Good " and "Fantastic" is this,

God made a tree and He said that it was Good.

Man made a refrigerator and he said FANTASTIC!

God made a rabbit and He said that it was Good .

Man made a car and he said FANTASTIC.!

Well the refrigerator got old and stopped working and ended up in the junk yard.

The older the tree gets the prettier it gets and it's still standing out there giving beauty and shade.

The car ran out of gas and the tires went flat and it rusted and ended up in the junk yard.

The rabbit had babies and reproduced after itself and it's still running.around being cute.

That's the difference between GOOD and FANTASTIC.

God Is Good

God is good.
He's seen me through a lot;
Through poverty and lonliness,
I didn't have a pot;

But He was there to see me through,
Held me up when I was down.
Though oft it seemed I was alone,
He was still around.

He provided just enough,
To see me through hard times.
He saw to it I was fed,
When I didn't have a dime.

He provided shelter,
To protect me from the storm,
And He stood by and guarded me,
To keep me safe from harm.

Too oft we look the other way,
And we don't see His goodness.
We're so wrapped up in misery,
We cannot see His goodness;

And goodness is the only word,
Describing all He is.
If you asked me to describe Him,
All I can say is this,

If there is any word to tell,
If mere words really could,
The only word befitting Him,
Is to say that God is Good.
