GOD IS
when it feels like our lives are falling apart?
that's when God is removing things
we weren't mean to carry in our hearts
God needs to break strongholds
so that we ourselves won't
He just needs for us to trust in His approach
by letting go of those things
that leave us feeling lost and astray
and we must not attach our identities
to the lesson that He wants to convey
yes, there will be people we love
who will walk out of our lives
just understand that God is protecting us
from hands too weak to help us with deal with strife
God is building in us
as we learn to listen through silent tears
for that is when we will hear Him
above the noise of our fears
life will then stop hurting
once we've stop confusing
healing with punishment
for in us, God is only pruning
removing dead things so that
we will flourish and grow
now ready to step into the life
that for us He has bestowed
