God In Heaven, Hear My Cry

These are the moments
That grip my heart with an iron fist
That shoot icy fire into my veins
The things that take the feathering fear
In the back of my mind
And twist them through my being

These are the moments
When the shroud of dread that envelops me
Threatens to consume and suffocate
And nothing...no, nothing can be done
But fall to my knees
And pray

Your an inspiration to us,, your words envelop us with kindness.. thanks for your support and for all your poetry! I feel the feathering fear too closely of late. This poem attracts me on a surreal emotional level. it is a comfort to know others share it too, though not something one would wish they ever would. I am left wonder why. ps: posted something, please read it when you can.. God's Peace

Good morning Donna this is an outstanding example of what good poetry is all about because your emotions and your feelings are conveyed in such a way that it takes us the readers on our own journeys that we have taken through our own experiences when all we can do is bow our heads down and pray that tomorrow will be much brighter then it was today. Please read a poem of mine called(Some day God will fill a cup full of your tears)Feel free to stop by anytime, Dean

Donna, prayer should be a part of our life. Through prayers we could communicate with God and tell Him all our worries and pains that we couldn't tell to anybody. This is an inspiring one. I like it. Ernilando
