God Give Us Glorious Wives

God give us glorious wives:
wives we can trust every night and day,
wives who will follow God's holy way
wives who will constantly watch and pray.
God give us glorious wives.

God give us glorious wives:
wives who are instruments of peace,
wives who will make acrimony cease, 
wives who will make harmony increase.
God give us glorious wives.

God give us glorious wives:
wives who will never preen or pretend,
wives who will always dare to defend,
wives who will forgive when we offend.
God give us glorious wives.

God give us glorious wives::
wives who will never be arrogant;
wives who will never be ignorant,
wives who will never treat us like ant.
God give us glorious wives.

God give us glorious wives:
wives who will raise up godly children,
wives who will challenge other women,
wives who will shun all ungodly men...
God give us glorious wives.

God give us glorious wives:
wives who will gather in golden grains,
wives who will never leave us in pains,
wives who will bring us eternal gains.
God give us glorious wives.

Ovidiu Bocsa July 29, 2017 at 7:03 AM Amazing and amusing, subtle, optimistic, sincerely loving, wishful thought, only good things between eternal rhymes wives, calming tone, enjoyable rhythm of Gospel, inspired rhymes (I imagine men an wow men! as well ladies and o, god! Ladies...) a lit a bit of irony and strong trust and faith. Magna cum laude!
