God Cares
When I face utter discouragement and deep despair,
I know that when I appeal to God in thankful prayer,
He'll set aside some time to hear my fervent plea,
Because I think He is rather fond of even me!
When seemingly with life's challenges I cannot cope,
And my precarious path is fraught with forlorn hope,
I know that His love and compassion will set me free,
Because I think He is rather fond of even me!
When facing critical crossroads on my earthly quest,
His guidance will determine what for me is best.
He'll never forsake me or leave me at sea,
Because I think He is rather fond of even me!
Tho' my shameful transgressions are so very rife,
He is a forgiving God who promises eternal life.
He welcomes me at His throne, unworthy tho' I be,
Because I think He is rather fond of even me!
Tho' life's vicissitudes are at times hard to bear,
He is always at my side with His love and care.
His endless faithfulness hath wrought my destiny,
Because I think He is rather fond of even me!
