I had reoccurring dreams about being famous…
I’m afraid I’ll end up like those celebrities
I watched videos about fame, got me anxious
I’m praying for my poor, poor soul at ease
God, be with me!
I wanna be free!
Don’t know how to live in the now
Somehow, be taking a godly vow
God, be with me!
God, that’s my plea!
Don’t know how to live life
Faced with peace and strife
God, be with me!
Life cuts me like a knife,
Prayed I have a winsome wife
God, be with me!

Faced difficulties about my sexuality in the past
This ache inside got me hurt many times before
As I look upon my future, going way too fast
Cast away my anxieties and give me passion to the core
God be with me!
I wanna be free!

Woke up at 3 AM, hoping this feeling inside don’t last long
Hope I can be free like Jerasulem as I keep on singing this song!
Egypt on my mind, constantly in captivity
Like this society that won’t let me be free
