God Be Thanked For My Revival
God be thanked for my spiritual revival
He graciously wrought in my life by His grand arrival
When He saved me from hell’s damnation and sinful survival
Granting me life eternal, assuring me heavenly and divine upheaval.
God be thanked for my revival constantly
As He reminds me to live by faith continuously
And leads me through His Word of truth ceaselessly
So I can abide in Him, relying on His faithful ways confidently.
God be thanked for my revival by His loving kindness
Healing my carnality-afflicted blindness with His forgiveness
Clearing my blurred vision thru His wisdom’s enlightening brightness
Caring for me with His compassion, uplifting me from me from my weakness.
God be thanked for His revival in the power of His might
Smiting my arrogance to submit to His sovereignty’s height
Reproving me of my disobedience to bring me to what’s right
Upholding me in His strength so that I can always walk in His light.
God be thanked for my revival, making me Spirit-filled
While He meets me in prayer that causes me to be soul-stilled
He deals with me by His precepts, correcting my being self-willed
So I can submit to Him fully, loving and living for Him, so blessedly-thrilled.
God be thanked for my revival as He enables me to go soulwining
To bring the lost to the Savior Who can transform them from sinning
To fulfil my part for the Great Commission along His consistent training
And help build lives for His glory thru His church, with His love, constraining.
God be thanked for my revival subduing Satan’s temptation
Despite offences, my Father works for my character-transformation
Amidst troubles, my Comforter* cheers me, with His joy and compassion
In my struggles, my Lord fights for me, granting me His peace and protection.
*Isaiah 51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places...
