God and I Have Never Met

God and I have never met, At least as I recall— But I’ve seen the autumn turn to flame, And a prancing flurry fall. O the glowing stars of heaven, For I know no better word— But is not a whale a miracle, Or as well a baby bird? Once I saw a mirror lake; Or maybe it was two? Then again, there was a waking rose With a lace of morning dew. God and I have never met, At least as I recall— But if there is a heaven, May forever it enthrall.

the beauty of all things, nature as well as all life, the circle of birth, miracles of his hand daily...we may have never met him but he's all around us! Such a beautiful poem, love it :)

Thank you Sandra! My poetic way of saying there is a God, without saying there is a God. And bless you for your kindness, Ken :-)

Even in a drop of rain, or a blade of grass, too easily overlooked. Are they not miracles—reflections of God? I love your comment, and thank you...Ken :o)

“toys into scientific instruments and research reality.” The Muse leads me one way; reality is the other—but I do study! Thank you, Sand, I appreciate the comment!!!!

Wonderful, Kenneth! Traces of Emily D. in this one, but frankly yours puts hers to rout. Bravo. A FAVE for me. Best wishes, Gershon

What a nice and encouraging comment! Thank you, Gershon, and to compare me so favorably to my however distant cousin, Emily? Well that is high praise, indeed—and again, thank you :)
