Goals

Pressing for a goal
So far off in the distance
I reach to grasp the prize
But it disappears
From my grasp into thin air

Will the journey ever end
It's been so long
An optical allusion
As a sunset
Seen but yet so far off
Never quite in reach

Is it hopeless?
Shall I never possess it?

It's so hard to stick with it
Day by day
God help me have patience
As I am embarking on the long process
There is a light
At the end of the tunnel
Will I make it that far
To endure all the darkness
Threatening to close in

How much do I want this goal I talk about?
Whatever you set you mind to in life
Is what you will get out
I will conquer when I begin to believe
