Go - Go, already

Go. Go, already. The father told his son
He bit his lip, clenched his fist
The son did not see the father’s pain

Go, Go, already. His heart, racing madly
         The son pivoted awkwardly
                    ~ he quickly walked away

It is hard to send them off into adulthood. This is intense, and hurts. I see the comment below, yeah, it does remind me of The Cat in the Cradle song, that song makes my husband cry, don't tell him I told you that ;)

Nice one Gershon--reminds me of Cat Stevens Father and Son song.

It’s sad when one’s children branch out on their own, leaving the parents at home alone. It’s a heartache… Beryl
