Go Away Memories

Just as fire in a candle burns away wax
So do I wish those memories drift away
Just as the ocean takes with it the sand
So do I wish my pain be cast into the sea

Never before have I felt so much agony
Never again do I want it to happen
The deed is done, the past has past
And I will not let it get a hold of me

Though it is not the end of my hurt
I will not let it control me again
Don't want to take it anymore
Just go away and leave me be

This is really beautifully written. My favorite line is: "So do I wish my pain be cast into the sea."

This poem speaks to me as there are memories that I wish to kiss away...I love the last stanza and the regaining of yourself.
