Go Ask Alice

Dreams fade, easily slip away unseen
we wonder if they were anything at all,
still we pursue visions our minds deem
darkened in the shadows that fall.
The darkness wraps around our heads
cutting off the air, warmth in our beds
and with closed eyes and cowering in dread
the promises are simple but well spread.
Just go ask Alice
and the truth can be revealed
hidden behind the lies of malice
as our futures now are sealed.

I've been asking Alice for years, but she doesn't pay any attention to me;-) Just kidding — always like these speculations, this is a dandy. ~ john

Alice, where did she live, ah yes, Cloud Cuckoo Land. No, Wonderland, where nothing ever worked as planned. So why should I ask Alice? Love your poem, hope you like my reply. Thanks for dropping in to read mine. :-)
