Go Another Round
GO ANOTHER ROUND
Some times the way is weary with trials all around,
Fight the good fight, pilgrim, and go another round.
Sometimes your pocket’s empty, and no money can be found,
Fight the good fight, pilgrim, and go another round.
There may be times of sorrow when the tears fall to the ground,
Fight the good fight, pilgrim, and go another round.
You feel so oft defeated when by sin you’re burdened down,
Fight the good fight, pilgrim, get back up off the ground!
Jesus won the victory when He died on the cross
And He loved you dearly when you in sin were lost.
Jesus never promised the way would not be rough,
But when He goes with you, you have more than enough.
Lay hold on life He gave you, don’t give up or be down,
Fight the good fight, pilgrim, and go another round.
Other Christians need us to cheer them on their way,
You may be that someone who helps them here today.
If you stay defeated, others soon will say,
“Does he not trust Jesus to help him through the day?”
Yes, the battle’s heavy, but we’re on the winning side—
Some day ‘twill be over, with Him we’ll abide.
That day up in heaven we’ll receive a crown
If we fight the fight here faithfully and go another round!
