Glory To My Lord
Perfunctory story
For my Lord's glory
Captures the nature and signature of the history
Lived during the pilgrimage
In which I don't have to rummage
For breath, thought or image
Cos the Lord always by my side
Not for a second brushing me aside
Ascertaining, sustaining, maintaining I decide
In my Lord's glory I rejoice
Every second I elect to listen to his voice
To make the optimum choice
Under his guidance
Always within me, in attendance
Always by me in abundance
To grant me grace
Sparing my life traces and stresses of disgrace
As the Lord holds me in a warm embrace
My perspective to strengthen
My years, my days to lengthen
Although I dwell in a vessel so earthen
I sometimes go astray
But on my knees I bend to pray
No more his love should I betray.
