Glory Days

As day fades
I sly awake
From the dream that I live still
Not awake, nor asleep
This hollowy dream that aches
I cannot tell the difference
Between the good and the bad

I am told
That I do right
In who's eyes this I add
I'll renew the days grow few
Basics remain

Not a single tear shed
I'm still standing tall every breath
Harder and stronger fills my lungs
I'm beaten down but not broken

Ashes I'll stand in but won't become
Die I know not of
My body will fade but my mind will stay
The second time I die will be in another life
