Glorious Wonderful Moss

The moss stands out magnificently
A neon green, outshining other greens
Serving her oak and cottonwood heroes well,
Helping the woodlands to live their happy truth
Softly covering her well-buried roots.

Startlingly pretty, appreciated by artists
Written about by poets.
Showing herself kindly,
Helping the woodlands to rejoice in her fantastic magic.
Beautiful, wonderful, glorious verdant moss.

It's very delicate and beautiful. I love the moss hanging from the trees, down south, as well. Well penned.

I like all moss. I am a moss-queen. Maybe a new poem?

Yes, I agree! When I was a boy moss of different varieties covered many woodland paths. Some were bright green, others were darker. My favorite was the plush kind that resembled tiny tiny fir trees and were great as cushions for sitting. Your poem brought back many memories, Caren. / M

Thank you Maurice. Get back out there and enjoy those woodland paths, my friend. You will turn into an eight year old boy again and you will be skipping and giggling!
