Glass Heart

Glass Heart

The sharp pain
of shattering glass
jolted him into reality.

She rudely pranced
over the brittle shards
she had just created.

"Please be careful,"
he whispered,
"That is my heart you are breaking."

Then she was gone,
leaving him alone,
to pick up the pieces.
