Glass Dance
I filled up my glass
Was full nice and plenty
I turned for one second
Now somehow it's empty
At first I had thought
Someone's messing round with me
Then out of no where
The glass it was shifting
It was sliding on by
Smooth down the counter
Picking up speed
The scraping got louder
Just before the edge
It stopped on the dime
I thought to myself
I'm losing my mind
I fill it once more
But I don't look away
The water disappeared
Right in front of my face
Shocked and astonished
From what I had seen
I picked up the glass
Threw it into the sink
I solved the problem
Yes so I had thought
Turned toward the counter
It was back there on top
This time full of water
So strange yes it was
No matter what I do
The glass does what it does
Why this was happening
I really don't know
It's almost as if
The glass has a mind of its own
Now chilled to the bone
Very spooked to the core
The glass then went flying
And smashed on the door
Shards scattered about
Water spilt everywhere
There's no denying
I was certainly scared
But clean it I must
The broom I'll go get
Got back to the kitchen
The glass it was fixed
Now it was empty
No sign of spilt water
This experience gave me
Feelings that bothered
Dumbfounded I'm staring
As if caught in a trance
The glass then starts moving
As if caught in a dance
So out it a hurry
I'll leave it all be
Maybe the glass
Will dance right in the sink
