Glass Castles
Such a fool inside you are
You've built your castle of glass
On sinking quicksand
Sadly now it falls
With all the stones you've tossed at me
I've added them to my arsenal
Now that I've started launching back
Your cracks they begin to show
The foundation of your lies are all starting to sink
Quickly they get pulled down
You have no walls to hide behind
I see the spiderwebs spreading out
I hear the glass as it's shattering
A little piece by piece
There goes your entire life
Your bedrock of lies diminishing
Those who live in glass castles
Should never toss stones
For glass it reflects back
The weight of ten times fold
Never build your dreams and hopes
On a foundation of lies and deceit
For the truth will someday show
Under shady and shoddy concrete
You said you loved me
What a lie that that you told
You promised me as your queen
In a castle made for a iron fisted fool
Every little wall you built
Was suppose to protect and last
Now it lays in ruin
In a pile of sand and glass
