Glass Box
I kept my heart in a glass box
You knew it didn't have any locks
You shattered the glass with your strong hands
You reached in and pulled it out
I didn't know what you were about
Foolishly I let you have it
You looked at my heart and saw how much it was lit
Pieces of glass lay on the ground
You stepped over them to not make a sound
You looked around
Made sure no one was there
Because I thought for sure you did care
Care about my precious heart
But you knew your goal right from the start
You took a piece of glass that lay,
And stabbed my heart without having anything to say
Dark blood came pouring out
All I could do was to shout
You stepped in my blood
You walked away leaving footprints, like leaving a trail of mud
My heart lay dying for a while
No longer was it able to smile
