Giving Thanks

In those long nights of doubt
when all is dark
and the soul is far from home,
who is it
that seizes the tongue
and speaks in rhythmic sound,
grants the miraculous moment
when it seems all that it asks
is for you to listen
and write the words down,
then humbly offer thanks
for the gift it has given to you.

Such an insight on and interesting angle on 'rescue,' Paul. Bravo! ~ Gershon
