I am so grateful that you read me and opine On unique thoughts and ideas I claim mine But I must be honest and humbly confess I often lift your ideas to concoct this mess.

I think that we all do it -- or at least use others' words/ideas as take-off points for our own. No harm there, methinks. :) gw

I'm reasonably sure it's rather common, gw. I am often inspired by the ideas and opinions of others.
