Give To Chase

It was 3:00 am when the weasel crept about
Wandering in to the jungle was his intent
Sneaking up on his friends, ready to shout
But instead, that isn’t how it went

First, to the mulberry bush, he happened to peer
He saw the monkeys fast asleep in the tree
What he needed to do, to scare, was quite clear
But he didn’t think that at 3, he’d be seen

One of the monkeys, guarding, saw it move
Quickly then, he thought, then moved for attack
The weasel, not seeing, fell into his groove
As the monkey fell upon it and gave it a whack

The chase ensued, both with need to rush
The weasel tried to get away from boy Kong
So quickly they ran around that mulberry bush
The rest is history as detailed in the children’s song
