Give the End Back To the Beginning

If I forget, remind me of how things used to be.
   Before the fall of man.
Before I hired myself as his assassin.

When I start shaking, remind me why I have nothing to fear.
That life won't go the way I planned.
That I'm much better off not caring.

So that in the end I will remember how this all began.
Retrace my steps. Find out what went wrong.
   And make it right again.

I am feeling the urge to go back and read poetry from earlier writing of my favorite poets today and this is the one I opened of yours Yoni. I truly enjoyed reading it today and it is one of your best. Love, Carol

The greatest people make the greatest mistakes, suffer the greatest setbacks. Those who make few mistakes have done little with their lives. We just need to lnow we are taking the right road home. Vince

Welcome to Poetry Soup, Yoni. This is an interesting write and it speaks to how purposeless our lives can seem without a goal to shoot (no pun intended) for ... smile ...
