Notes About The Poem

Give Me Wool

give me wool, please I need wool,
to knit hats, scarfs and socks for the homeless;
that dwell in doorways gasping for breath in the bitter cold,
as the biting snow swirls about like gauzy curtains drifting, blowing;
on this cold bitter day, oh give me wool, please, I need lots of warm wool.

Such a heartbreaking scene to see the homeless but it seems even more tragic especially at this time of the year ' the season of goodwill'. Good luck in the contest:-) hugs Jan xx

Jan, thanks for visiting, and for the encouragement, appreciate, yes it is so sad to see the homeless at anytime but in the winter it is even more cruel ~
