Give Me Love

I know it’s not smart 
to be in love with me.
But please, oh please,
don’t leave me be.
Stay for just 
one second more.
I want to be the one
that you adore.
The absence of your
laugh from my life,
makes me feel 
empty inside.
Give me your love,
if just for tonight.
I promise to give 
you all my affection
in return for your
heartbeat and protection.
