Give In

I went home, I could have stayed, But I knew in the end how it would play. That even for this brief moment of time, When my lips touched his, and his lips touched mine, It would be so blissful, a piece of heaven we’d share, As we’d slip slowly into a feverish affair. I’d feel his breath on my neck, his hands on my thighs, I’d lay in his arms as I closed my eyes. We’d dive deep into a place of no return, And live there for a while as the passion fires burned. Mmm, how I love the way he tastes and he smells so sweet, Yes, I’m dangerously getting close to being swept off my feet. So, I could have stayed, but in the end, I fled, For I knew how it play out, with us both in bed. And I know that my heart desires so much more, But there I’d be, left all alone, my heart in pieces on the floor. And I’d rather not be in a state of ‘dazed and confused’, To give in one time just to being amused. I know for sure that it’s worth the wait, To find the one I can give in to every, single, day. But I have to be honest, my words must be true, Even though I slightly gave in, I’m glad I gave in to you.
