Girls Are Tops

Girls Are Tops 

Go Figure? Figure Skaters,
Girls twirl and amaze,
Girls wow and graze,
Over the ice.
Then over the ice,
First toe loops,
Then double axels,
And for seconds,
They never come down.

Go Figure? Figure Skaters
Feet reach back, toes point at
“Trail Blazed Ice”.
Hands reach for, fingers point at
“Virgin Ice”.

Go Figure! Figure Skaters,
Feet circling, spiraling inwards
Hands circling, spiraling upwards
Spinning! Spinning!! Spinning!!!
Faster! Faster!! Faster!!!
“Man, these Girls are Tops!”

Such beauty on ice, such grace,,, I also liked the title of the Poem. I love hockey players, too. Totally different of course. But a talent all of their own. Then they knocked the rink down and built a load of yuppie apartments on the site.. But yep.. it was the place to go for a night out.. So many great visuals in your words for me..
