Girl Rising

Years of oppression and no revolt,
Continued sufferings of subtle minds,
I don't find girl rising!

Living in subjugation and cruel society,
Abused by her own beloved,
I don't see any girl rising!

Call for justice is far from cry,
Targeting her from every side,
I don't find any girl rising!

Awakening minds is the only tool,
Raise a voice against despotism,
Inoculate courage into the oppressed,

Sun will appear above the horizon,
Ascent with an active rebellion,
I can definitely see the girl rising !!

I like this poem because this is my first and only wish 
to see the girl rising !
And I m absolutely hopeful for it will happen one day!

I have written a couple of poems about the very same subject. But was surprised to get even a ok review. One women poet, even called me a drag, pretending? I agree with your view, that unless we awake minds, We cannot see the girl rising. Keep in touch Sam:-)
