Girl On the Street

There’s a girl on the street, A child, not more than five. Her feet are bare, clothes a ragged affair, And her hair unkempt. Her eyes, sunken and deep, Can’t speak of the horrors, She must have seen. Now quite alone, In a world not meant for her, She looks, As life goes on around her.
