Girl

How can I tell you girl
that there is nothing we can do?
that we didn't have what we couldn't have
that sometimes ppl may seem cruel?
that now is too late
and that we need to move
to a better place
for me and you?

How can I tell you girl
that what you are looking for
it is now so far away
not even in this world?
how can I find the way
how can I find the words
without hurting you again
the way you were hurt before?

How can I tell you girl
that we are on our own?
that the search is over
that they didn't come?
that we've been swimming
for so long
that I'm getting tired
and I need a shore?

How can I tell you girl, that you have grown?

Woah, so much emotions you've infused here whilst exploring the melancholic dimensions of growing up.. Certainly, not having the courage to tell oneself that their magical world doesn't exist, it never did.. With so many questions and introspective thoughts, this poem really is so heartfelt.. Beautifully written..
