Ginger Jar Aspirations
Ginger Jar Aspirations
The day we are born into this world
We are endowed with gifts and talents
That lay dormant during our young years
Growing catching glimpses of peaking light
Silhouettes and reflections of each gift
Begin to emerge with subtle reflections
Of what is yet to mature inside each soul
A designer’s talented wheel capable of creating
These things reveal themselves with a great ease
Simplicity of flow that moves from within, beats!
Every child aspires to be great and attest to that fact
Yet in the chaos of growth our gifts suffer and fall away
Why? What seemed so simple and conquering was ridiculed
Made to seem unworthy or boring to the young minds adoration
Next we try to do what we cannot comprehend or capture mentally
Reason being, It is not what we were given at birth to bring into the world
That would better the minds and hearts of humanity
We succumbed to what the world wanted us to be
Think back upon your heart as a child what was the one
Aspiration that flowed, Leg-go’s; then be a builder
Art be an artist, Doctors heal, Nurses comfort
Lawyers defend, Judges rule by facts,, Writers pour you
Onto the page, Singers sing, Mothers nurture, Fathers provide
Never think your talents are menial, what is created in private
Our Father will exalt before humankind
Whether in our time or a hundred years from now
What we write about will exalt every walk of life
With a reverent pulse beating for future generations
Be who you are
