"THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH AND MY SHIELD, MY HEART TRUSTS IN HIM AND I AM HELPED."       Psalm 28:7

"ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD."       Mark 10:27

We all want gifts I guess that's true. Whether Christian or not we petition You, For money, possessions, good fortune or fame, The list is a long one, it's always the same. We petition You daily to end all our worries, To help us find peace 'midst the hustle and hurry, To pay all our bills and restore our good name, And buy a fine house and mayhap lay claim, To some hidden fortune forgotten about, So we would be wealthy and ne'er do without; Forgetting it seems 'midst the worry and fear, That all that we need is already here. You've given so much to Your Children it seems, We've become rather jaded with grandiose dreams, Of attaining still more things we don't really need, And we lose sight of all of Your gifts and Your deeds; For we have a peace in a world where there's none And though we have worries we still have some fun. While others will wonder where they'll lay their head, We have a roof and a warm, comfy bed. While others will worry what fate lies ahead, We relax by the hearth and our children are fed. Thank You for loving us spoiled as we are. Without You we'd never have made it this far. You've given us gifts, Too many to name, And still You are there, When we call on Your Name.
