Gift of Sunflower
A sunflower casts its’ seeds upon soil,
gentle nutrition for children of flight;
she bows her head to observe the dining.
Fruit for fowl enriched by the tiny bees
mama’s nestlings dine so ecstatically;
heads bow in sun salute in celebration
lifts wings to heaven’s gold embrace.
