Gift and Giver

A gift, divinely imparted and granted entry before nobilities
A gift, recognized and given opportunities to blossom and flourish
The gifted one delighted in his assignments, anticipating greatness,
But never imagined his employer's mission would change, and that
His world would become a desolate place, nor did he realize that
His usefulness would be halted, and his gift no longer utilized. His newly
Granted gift would be the sparring of his life. Everything else would disappear
By Sovereign Decree. The dream died, but the dreamer lived to understand
that gifts are valuable, but the Giver is the real true treasure.
