Ghosts of Nostalgia

Do you ever get that eerie feeling when you see someone for the first time? That feeling of knowing as if you knew them all your life? when your whole body goes numb and you can hear the last beats of your heart? When a blink of an eye can last an eternity as you see visions of a silhouette like your own shadow in an embrace with a stranger you knew an eternity ago. That memory you never had… but can remember quite well Like you’re free falling or just levitating, but you can’t quite tell I seemed to have opened Pandora’s box in the hope of finding peace, Now the ghosts of nostalgia keep haunting me and it seems they find release… When I open my eyes you still stare… the world came crashing down but you were still there… Do you ever get that ethereal feeling when you see someone? That feeling of total synchronicity with someone you’ve never known all your life? When your whole world disappears and all you can see is… That one person who seems to mimic your every being the essence of… you Like when you’re screaming for her to whisper because she can’t quite yell When your world turns to oblivion and only she can break the spell, Because you opened Pandora’s box in the hope of finding the one And now the ghosts of nostalgia will haunt you until deed is done
