Ghosts In the Fire

There’s a rapid storm inside me

There’s a sea that I’m dying to see

There’s room for gloom tonight

I need delight with all my might

I see ghosts in the fire

You’re my only desire

Our abundant love never expires

We build our adoration empires

Continuous fire and beautiful-than-ever rain

Goes down the wondrous, wretched drain

Leaves me feeling awfully speechless

Left me feeling breathless more or less

In the flames,

I saw ghosts and spirits

I’m not one to blame

I’m not playing a game

My flames are untamed

I have a couple of my wits

They crumble bits by bits

Like it even matters to you

You put me through so much

It’s the horrible things you do

Yet, I still yearn for your touch

You scorched me aflame,

Ghosts in the frivolous fire

Life's not a foolish, little game,

My past precious desire

I’m regretful

I’m fretful

It’s oh so delightful…

It’s as if I’m grateful

That I found you,

Lost in the flames of red and blue

Very passionate poem; those ghosts do hang around. Well written piece of poetry.
