Getting the Job Done

“Necessity is the mother of invention,” Making the case for improvisation, Seafarers would say, “jerry-rigging,” Results can often create a sensation. Using what’s at hand to get a job done Sometimes new and better ways ensue I’ve been known to fix it with duct tape As a last resort, I’ve used Elmer’s glue. Written August 30, 2022

I have stapled curtains up before to make them shorter and pants legs too. Love the word "jerry-rigging" - will have to use it now that you reminded me it is a word.

It is a sea-faring word, Caren. As you know, rigging is the ropes and pulleys on a sailing ship.

IMPROVISATION........and the lost art of figuring it out.....I've read of instances during WW1 where the pilots used Vice Grips to hold the control wires of their Bi-planes together and went into battle.

They did some incredible things I am sure, John. When they had to improvise, I don't think they hesitated.

I don't know how many times I have done a MacGyver Milton. Sometimes I wonder why engineers are so at fault for their poor designs that a child could do better. My recent "Mother of Invention" was with the washing machine dile. I had to take it all apart and redesign where it had broken. It worked, by God. Then there was the riding mower. This long tube kept coming off the base of the unit and anchoring into the ground. Really a poor design. I redesigned and made it work. It is always a

Absolutely amazing when you hear about how they have been there for many, many years. Dr Bruce Cornet also wrote a book based onhis investigation there, he is very good researcher. One of the best books I have read on the abduction Scenerio is by John E Mack (Abduction) human encounters with aliens. He was a Harvard Professor who wrote an incredible book on the subject. Also Travis Walton's book Fire In The Sky, which a movie was made of. Another was The Interrupted Journey the story of Betty and Barney Hill, and another favorite. Missing Time by Bud Hopkins. Linda Mouton Howe An alien Harvest is also a great book on the cattle mutilations. One more, Above Top Secret by Timothy Good. All great books Milton you would enjoy. My favorite though is Ellen Crystall's Silent Invasion.

I found it strange because everyone was chatting and in groups and he was all by himself just staring into the woods. I guess he stood out and I was curious to know why, when I approached him. At first he was kind of uncomfortable I sensed that in him but after a while he started to relax and open up. I remember it like it was yesterday. I asked him why he came back to a place that he is so worried of. He said that, that is the only way he can deal with them on his terms and he feels as though he is in control. Some of the locals will open up to you when they get to know you. The town barber Butch Hunt is one. He will tell you all about the crafts, the aliens, all the people who witnessed them and their stories.

Milton I only scratched the surface of everything that we experienced. We had many, many, sightings. The things that happened I am hesitant to share because it was just so unbelievable. The many years of research opened my mind to many things our Government has kept from us. This was the begining for me to realize all that is happening in this world that we are not privy to know. Yes this young man was all by himself toward the end of the road...

(chuckling) Glad to oblige, my friend. Michael, I did some reading on the Pine Bush, New York extraterrestrial sightings. It was truly fascinating. I'd love to make a trip up there, but I understand it is now mostly off limits to watchers. I'm also getting up in the years where I can't just head out anytime I want to. So, you actually talked to a guy who claimed he was being taken up, eh, and then he disappeared on you? That is fascinating!

I don't even bother trying to fix things anymore, L M. I just throw it out and replace it with something else...and hopefully better.

At least you didn't use crazy glue and bond your fingers together. That's a whole nother fix.
