Get Up and Dance

Candle, candle burning bright,
Blow it out, he wasn’t your white knight.
A new love is waiting if you give it a chance,
But you have to be willing to get up and dance.

An interesting mix of art on a poetic palette with sounds (burning), colours (white), soul (love), dance. A wise Stravinsky into rhymes with a progressive Crescendo that accompanies the last rhyme. The first rhyme Candle, candle ...) has the same numbers of notes of the Overture of Beethoven 5th. Classic that ending in Romantic. Well done!

I love it! This is the kind of rhyme you sing when you play with two balls, flipping them against the ground so they hit the wall, and juggling them! More, please!

I read all you poems. They were so nice. Had those $ been £s, Would have been nice. As I would have claimed them In a trice. And become a premium member. Which would be so nice.
