Georgia Homeless Blues
Thirty years ago I broke the law
and even tho my sentence is through,
I was once more arrested
for something I could not do.
I could not find a place to live
or even find a job.
Every one I asked for help
just acted like a snob.
They sent me back to prison once
because I was a homeless man.
And then they tried to give me life
just because they can.
