Georgette

I miss my little friend next door She fell and went away I await news of her return With the long passage of each day. Tomorrow I'll visit her once more And again she'll ask me to take her home I just pray she still remembers me When I lie and say. "It won't be long!" So tonight I'll kneel and pray That I remain strong like she And not complain but to have hope That my little pal will be brought back to me. Brenda Elizabeth Rose
