Genuine Friendship

You are not a stranger to me
Neither are you an alien, nor an unknown.
You are me,  and I am you in 
Another body.

You are:
My soul’s double 
My being’s twin
My heart’s beats
My mind’s thoughts.

You are: 
My companion,
My ally,  
My friend, 
My brother!

I share:
Your fears
Your agony
Your misery 
Your suffering
And
You share:
My hopes
My joy
My well-being 
My happiness!

We aren’t alone anymore
For
You have me, and I have you
Thus
Next to each other, we stand
Against all odds,
Giant towers of friendship 
Supporting and defending one another, 
Asking for nothing 
Offering everything,
As 
We gallantly are toiling to build
Our future’s common path!
