Gentleman of Forestry
Today I met an older gentleman
Was not at all alarming,
In fact he taught us a huge deal
Educated, kind and charming.
Meticulous in his vocabulary and
Respectable, indeed a rarity.
T’was an honour to converse,
With intelligence of forestry.
Knowledge of near native plants;
He shared with skilled ability.
Learning new and bringing peace,
Raising Admirability.
For such a man is worthy of rhyme,
And Nature with her net.
The trees, the plants, the great outdoors and
Good people, we never forget.
